Styrofoam Collection Program
With three Styrofoam Collection Sheds in McHenry County, residents have no need to place this forever plastic in their trash.
Accomplishments
Three sites in the county offer drop-off of recycling and create partnerships with towns and other entities in the effort, including the Village of Algonquin, The City of Woodstock and Algonquin Township Road District.
Goals
To educate about waste reduction, by providing an opportunity for people to divert polystyrene from landfills to recycling.
