Stream Crossing Signage
A grant supported program and partnership with the County’s Division of Transportation to build and place watershed indicator signs across all streams, creeks and rivers throughout the county.
Accomplishments
In 2021…signs were placed at crossings within each watershed throughout the county. Another grant was received for placing additional signs to complete this important education project.
Goals
To educate and bring attention to the multitude of creeks, streams and rivers that exist throughout the county, which ultimately has the goal of connecting people to natural places so that a sense of care and stewardship can be developed.
