Monthly Restoration Workdays
A great way to be outdoors and contribute to the health of our planet through restoring the land.
Accomplishments
Successfully maintain monthly workdays at Sterne’s Fen attracting anywhere from 8 to 20 volunteers per month on the last Sunday. Introduced in 2021, additional workdays per month on Defenders’ Dean Street Property in Woodstock.
Goals
To clear invasive plant/tree species from the land and cultivate soil health in order to allow for the movement of native plants into the work area, which then provides better habitat for fauna and increases the biodiversity needed to sustain ecosystems.
