River Clean-ups
Organized on an had-hoc basis or as an annual event, river clean-ups both protect our watershed while connecting people to water bodies.
Accomplishments
It’s Our River Day, which is a state-wide celebration of Illinois rivers. Locally, we are in our 14th year of offering a special clean-up day in McHenry County, always the third Saturday of September.
Goals
To instill a sense of protection and preservation among residents and keep our rivers and broaders watersheds in the county healthy through this activity.
