Curbside Composting
The Defenders advocates for the opportunity for those who are not able or willing to compost on their property to do so through curbside pickup.
Accomplishments
To date, the towns of Lake in the Hills and Crystal Lake offer curbside composting to residents.
Goals
To discontinue the practice of throwing away compostable items and greatly lessen the amount of food waste that enters our landfills.
