Please join us for the last BMP Talk and Tour workshop of 2022!
Our expanding use of roadsalt and other chemical deicers damages the environment, corrodes infrastructure, and pollutes water. This workshop will show the impacts from our use of roadsalt and the best practices everyone can use to maintain safety while reducing pollution. The workshop will also introduce an exciting new program that will revolutionize snow and ice management practices on parking lots and sidewalks. A live demonstration of Sensible Salting practices will also be provided. We are very excited about this program and guests who attend will gain a solid understanding of the issues and solutions on this important topic.

Light snacks and beverages will be provided. We will also be raffling off a brand new Earthway Liquid Push Spreader ($500 value) so one lucky guest can start practicing Sensible Salting on their own property.
The Talk and Tour workshops are provided by the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County’s Water and Natural Resources Committee with assistance from the McHenry County Department of Planning and Development.
