Apple Creek Food Forest is a place to demonstrate the diversity of plants that can be grown for nourishment and health in our region. It is a place that welcomes a diversity of people to gather, experiment, learn and share their knowledge. We are inspired by principles rooted in permaculture, agroforestry and regenerative farming practices. All of our work here starts with a respect for the earth and the idea that farming is a giving relationship between people and the land. We had our first planting last year and plan to continue planting more elderberries, pawpaws, gooseberries and many other fruit and nut trees.
