Food Forest Tour
August 15th at 9am in McHenry
Join the Environmental Defenders and Stephanie Tesmer, Environmental Scientist, who will be guiding a tour around her residential Food Forest. Learn about integrating trees, perennial plants, and annual beds into urban landscapes to enhance food security, boost biodiversity, and improve urban microclimates. We will discuss how transforming basic lawns, into productive green spaces can create local food resilience and boost community well-being.
