Environmental Ambassador Program
Recruits volunteers to serve in their own communities by observing municipal meeting agendas and actions and where relevant, to be present at regular meetings of cities and villages in our county. Our Ambassadors report to our office with findings and for assistance and where applicable to attend meetings for public comment or help guide the Ambassador through this process.
Accomplishments
Sponsored three workshops on learning how to connect with local and state officials. Building slowly to recruit Ambassadors through Defenders’ membership.
Goals
To stay abreast of all the issues in the county town by town that affect the environment, whether positively or negatively. In order to achieve this, at least two volunteer Environmental Ambassadors are needed in each town.
