DESCRIPTION:Urban Agroforestry \nPresented by: Stephanie Tesmer \nIn this presentation\, we will explore how urban agroforestry – integrating trees\, perennial plants\, and annual beds into urban landscapes – can enhance food security\, boost biodiversity\, and improve urban microclimates. We will discuss how transforming basic lawns\, into productive green spaces can create local food resilience and boost community well-being. At the end you will see how we put all of this into practice on our suburban 1/3 of an acre site near McHenry. \nStephanie is an Environmental Scientist who spends her days caring for her food forest and advocating for her community’s environmental needs. \nAttend on Zoom
