Join us to celebrate 13 years of McHenry County Green Drinks!
Presentation Overview:
The McHenry County Division of Transportation (MCDOT) and City of Woodstock will discuss roundabouts at the September 7 Green Drinks. MCDOT will provide an overview of roundabouts – how to safety navigate them, their benefits and drawbacks – and discuss several examples that have been built on the County highway system. The City of Woodstock will then talk about their experience designing and building their first roundabout at South-Lake-Madison near the Historic Woodstock Square. They will also discuss why the State of Illinois selected roundabouts, instead of traditional traffic signals, as the preferred intersection type for their upcoming IL 47 project in the City.

Scott Hennings is the Assistant Director for the McHenry County Division of Transportation.
Darrell Kuntz is the Assistant County Engineer for the McHenry County Division of Transportation.
