Please join us to learn about State & Federal Incentives for Clean Energy

Friday, May 19

1-3pm

Stage Left, 125 W Van Buren St, Woodstock

Join us to learn how to get funding for energy efficiency improvements for your buildings and homes. With the passage of the Illinois Clean Energy Jobs Act and the Federal Inflation Reduction Act, there are many opportunities and incentives available to governmental bodies, as well as homeowners and businesses, to increase their energy efficiency, reduce their utility costs and improve comfort.

Marina Minic, from the Citizens Utility Board, will detail all the opportunities available to governmental bodies and businesses. Opportunities for homeowners will then be presented by Mike Zanillo, from Citizens’ Climate Lobby. After the presentations we will be treated to a virtual tour of the geothermal heat pump installation in the Old Courthouse Restoration Project in Woodstock from the project’s architect. The geothermal system and other energy efficiency practices used in this project are impressive examples of what can be accomplished with the funding and incentives described in this Talk and Tour.

To register for this session, RSVP at https://tinyurl.com/BMPTourSignup.

The Talk and Tour workshops are provided by the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County’s Water and Natural Resources Protection Action Team with assistance from the McHenry County Department of Planning and Development.
