As of now, the Environmental Defenders will only be reopening the Styrofoam Recycling Program in Crystal Lake at Algonquin Township Road District. The drop-off sites in Woodstock and Algonquin will remain closed for the time being. We hope to expand the program to other locations in the near future. Thank you for your understanding.

For additional Styrofoam recycling opportunities, please view our Recycling Calendar for 2026. Styrofoam can be recycled at other recycling drives in McHenry County.
